LAYTON — A 54-year old man was killed and a 20-year old was hospitalized after an automobile accident on state Route 193 in Layton on Tuesday, police said.

According to Layton Police Lt. Shawn Horton, around 2 p.m. a 20-year old man was driving a full-sized truck heading westbound on state Route 193 when he turned southbound onto 725 West. The truck collided with a black GMC Acadia SUV being driven by a 54-year old man who was traveling eastbound on State Route 193, said Horton.
