LEEDS, Washington County — Northbound and southbound I-15 have been reopened to one lane of traffic north of Leeds after a collision between a semitruck and RV on Wednesday, Utah Highway Patrol said.
I-15 had been previously closed in both directions eight miles north of Leeds following the crash about 5 p.m. before opening to one lane in both directions almost two hours later.
One person was in fair condition following the crash and didn’t have any injuries considered to be life-threatening, according to UHP Sgt. Cameron Roden.
The crash is located in the median of the highway, forcing the closure of down both directions, Roden said. One of the vehicles caught fire and emergency responders monitored it closely due to the recreational vehicle’s large propane tank, Roden added.
Utah Department of Transportation estimates the freeway clearance time at about 10 p.m.
