Madison football fell 21-19 to Blackfoot Friday after losing the 13-point lead they established in the first half. The Bobcats led over three quarters but were outscored 14-0 in the second half.
Bobcats quarterback Easton Cordero hit wide receiver Trey Holloway for a 50-yard touchdown to open the scoring then ran it in from a yard out to put the Bobcats up 13-0 in the first quarter then Madison missed the extra point.
Cordero hit Mark Williams for a 21-yard score with 4:53 on the clock to extend Madison’s lead. Then Madison failed to convert two point attempt when Joseph Ludin’s pass to Mark WIlliams went incomplete.
Blackfoot began to chip away at the Bobcat’s lead. With 1:55 left in the half Blackfoot quarterback Craig Young hit Reece Robinson for a 50-yard touchdown.
The Broncos scored again in the third quarter on a 2-yard run from Teegan Thompson then Blackfoot took the lead in the fourth quarter with a 2-yard run by young.
The loss to Blackfoot drop the Bobcats to 2-5 overall and eliminates their chances of winning their conference.
Madison next game is back at home against Pocatello.
