Madison swim team competes at state

The Madison High boys swim team competed at the High School State swim meet at the Boise West YMCA on November 8th and 9th.

The 200 yard freestyle relay team made up of Andrew Higgins, Matthew Eyring, Alex Wray and Brian Walsh improved on their district meet time with each boy getting a personal best split. They finished with a time of 1:43.79 and in 11th place.

Brian Walsh competed in the 100 yard freestyle, improved on his district meet time, achieved a personal best time of 54.25 and finished in 14th place. Grayson Johnson competed in the 200 yard freestyle, improved on his district meet time, achieved a personal best time of 2:09.18 and finished in 15th place. He also competed in the 100 yard butterfly with a finish time of 1:06.01 and finished in 15th place.

The young team made of two juniors and three sophomores look forward to returning to the state meet next year
