Postpartum depression is Utah’s top mental health concern, study says

(KUTV) — An analysis of Google searches suggests that Utah’s top mental health concern is postpartum depression.

TermLife2Go – a life insurance blog – used Google Trends analytics and information from mental health sites to compile a list of the most common mental health conditions for each state to determine what were the most searched mental health concerns across the country. And for Utahns, it was postpartum depression.

According to the report, Utah’s most Googled concern was “not surprising” because the CDC often puts the state in the top 10 places for the highest birth rates, suggesting a correlation between the two statistics. Utah also shares this mental health concern with Louisiana.
