Republican Blake Moore to represent Utah's 1st Congressional District

SALT LAKE CITY — Business executive and Republican Blake Moore is heading to Washington D.C. as Utah’s 1st Congressional District representative.

Longtime Republican incumbent Rep. Rob Bishop announced last year he was not seeking reelection and later endorsed Moore to be his replacement.

Moore beat out Democratic candidate Darren Parry, the former chair for the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation, for the seat.
