Silver alert activated for missing South Salt Lake woman

SOUTH SALT LAKE — South Salt Lake Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Susan A. Lavender, 57, who is considered an endangered missing person.

Lavender is described as being 5 feet, 6 inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes. She’s a white woman who was last seen wearing gray sweatpants and a sweatshirt, according to South Salt Lake police.

Lavender was last seen in South Salt Lake City at 1:45 p.m. when she walked away from Avalaon Valley Rehab Center.

She’s been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia and walks with a limp, police said. Lavender also has a history of hitchhiking.
