Troopers identify driver killed in collision with ‘hazardous’ slow-moving semitruck

WEST VALLEY CITY — A Nebraska man died after a crash involving two semitrucks on state Route 201 in West Valley City Monday.

Dispatchers received two calls at about 10 a.m. of a “hazardous” semitruck driving between 3 mph and 5 mph on S.R. 201 at 5600 West. Shortly after, a driver in the right lane rear-ended the slow-driving semitruck, the Utah Highway Patrol said in a statement.

The driver of the semitruck that rear-ended the slow-driving truck was pronounced dead on scene.

He was identified Tuesday as Al Fhuere, 29.
