
60-acre Neffs Fire in Millcreek 20% contained
The 60-acre Neffs Fire, which began burning last week near Mount Olympus, had been 20% contained by Monday.
An informational hotline was also created Monday for residents with questions on the fire. The hotline can be reached at 801-743-7180.
The hotline is available from Monday to Wednesday.
“The (Joint Information Center) will be available to answer questions related to the Neffs Fire including the current fire strategy of the Forest Service as well as potential evacuation plans should evacuation become necessary,” officials said.

A public meeting for the fire was scheduled for Wednesday at Millcreek City Hall from 7-8 p.m. where possible evacuations would be discussed with residents.
Three helicopters, five engines and 223 total personnel were assigned to the fire.
