New fire ignites in Washington County
The Spirit Creek fire was reported around 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday, officials said. According to the U.S. Forest Service, the fire is burning between Pig and Spirit Creeks near Leeds in Washington County.
Fire crews on scene are monitoring fire activity while aviation resources have been ordered due to the difficult access for ground personnel, officials said.
The cause has not yet been determined.
