Ogden Police Lt. Tyler Ziegler said the incident occurred just before 9 p.m. The woman, who police said is in her 40s, was crossing 30th Street and Jefferson Avenue when she was hit by a westbound vehicle. She was not using a crosswalk, according to Ziegler.

The woman was able to communicate with officials who arrived at the scene. She was transported to a hospital and while the extent of her injuries is unknown, Ziegler said her injuries are not life-threatening.
